Chelsea youngster Fikayo Tomori has disclosed he prefers studying than playing FIFA or Fortnite with friends.

Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola "Fikayo" Tomori is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Chelsea. He has represented both Canada and England at youth level.

- The 20-year-old has been studying for a business management degree in the Open University

- Tomori is currently training with his fellow England stars ahead of their EURO 2020 qualifiers

According to UK Sun, the 20-year-old defender insists he is too busy reading and taking notes, than pushing button during his free time.

The Canadian-born Tomori is due to complete his business management degree at the Open University next year.

At the last count, the trio of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, and France's Antoine Griezmann have openly both declared their admiration of Fortnite, while other football stars like Jadon Sancho and Tammy Abraham help create awareness for EA Sports' FIFA games.

"Everyone is gaming.

"I'm not much of a gamer, I let them get on with it, but there's a lot of FIFA and Fortnite going on.

"Football is not going to go on forever.

"When I retire — or God forbid get an injury — then I have something I'm working towards and that can stand me in good stead for the future.

"I'm reading leadership in business, that's the current topic.

"I spend maybe about eight or 10 hours a week, something like that.

"I'm reading all the time, trying to learn new things. I haven't got the books [at St George's] but I can do it online, so I can see whatever I need to see on there,” added Tomori, who arrived England as a toddler, but is finding it tough to combine his studies with life as a football stars.

"I've had a little look at my books.

"Obviously it's the first few days so I've tried not to look at that too much and be focused on the football.

"But when I do have free time I can look at them.

"I like to spend time with the boys, which is important, and have a bit of fun.

"But at night before I'm going to bed or whatever, I might have a look over it,” Tomori submitted.

The 21-year-old was eligible to play for Nigeria, Canada or the English national team, but the Blues star chose to pitch his tenth with the Three Lions.
