Fans of Manchester United are pointing the blame at Matteo Darmian after the 2-1 defeat to Bristol City in the League Cup on Wednesday night.

Manchester United have bowed out of the competition they won last season following a frustrating show on the road against the lower-league side.

Matteo Darmian was back in the starting line-up for the Red Devils after not being given much playing time so far this season.

But the night was not a good one for the Italian star as United’s leaky defence conceded twice to an unfancied Bristol City side to lose 2-1.

The disappointing result has seen most fans go crazy on Twitter and almost all of them are now criticizing the Red Devils defender.
